The Streak, the Trade, and Other Things
We did it, ladies and gentleman! We finally put together a 5 game winning streak for the first time since the 2015-16 season and we did it in style against some really good teams. Since the ugly game in Anaheim we have closed out a road trip with wins over the Ducks, the Kings, and the Blue Jackets. On our return home we conquered the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins and just last night dispatched the red hot Washington Capitals 6-3. During that streak we've scored 23 goals. Filip Forsberg scored the 100th goal of his career, (He's only 23) Fiala finally got his first, (they'll come in buckets now.) and Kyle Turris has seamlessly fit in on the second line adding much-needed firepower to the offense. Oh, and by the way, we're doing all this without a pivotal member of our core defense in Ryan Ellis. Things are really looking up. Tomorrow we'll take on the division rival Minnesota Wild at their place and look to keep the streak going before returning to
